Spruz lying about why website was deleted

I have posted on here some time ago about not being able to access my Spruz website. If i went to go to my website i would get a message saying that i never had a website with them. So at least 3 tickets i put in asking for my website back and asking why it had been taken down...Not one reply. Then today i receive an email saying my website has been deleted because i was inactive?....WTF? If i cannot access my website, it's pretty obvious im going to be inactive but you never even had the decency to reply to any of my support tickets i put in. So why is Spruz lying? They even claim they sent me an email.....total lie!!!

This is what they said to me in the email they sent:

Hello ONY, Sorry but your free website was deleted because it was inactive.

If you recall we sent you an email a few weeks ago telling you to log into your site to save it. We delete free websites that are inactive for 30 days or more in order to conserve space. This allows us to continue to offer free websites to those who really need and use them.

We welcome you to create a new website with us. Create a new web site

We hope you come back to try us again!

  • That is a preformatted kind of email.  Same info goes to everyone. So not necessarily a intentional lie.

  • Yeah this seems about right.  I tried to delete my site months ago, and they are still charging me monthly even though the site has been deactivated.  You can be sure I will dispute the charges with my bank and let social media know about this nonsense.  Crooks.

  • I have to agree with the replies here. I completely forgot about my site and was charged for it this year. I was told that even if i delete it or it's inactive i would still have to pay for it. No refunds possible.

@ Chaos: Did you get anywhere with talking to your bank?

I was just thinking this morning that Noborders is pretty expensive if you compare it with Godaddy (just one example).

  • I've been through all of this with Spruz, which is why my most important activities are not handled by Spruz. Their managers (if any) are really iiving on another planet.

  • I would have to agree with both of you, now they are trying to tell me that the unlimited plan has limits shocked smiley

I get locked out 3 days after upgrading to the $49.95 plan so I could have unlimited transfer.  Now they are send me messages like this:

    1)

    14 Hours Ago Support added:

When a site reaches a traffic threshold they are evaluated to make sure they are not abusing our unlimited transfer and space package.

Your site has been reviewed and limits increased. Your site show be fully functional now. Let  us know if you have further questions.

    2)

    6 Hours Ago Support added:

Yes, but while it is an unlimited package it is within whats reasonable. So that plan limits are moved up each time a limit is reached once we can verify the site usage is being used properly.

    3)

The upgrade page does not display your current plan. You are on the $49.95 complete plan

And we reserve the right to control bandwidth usage on all plans. This is in your service agreement. As stated several times before, your plan limits have been increased to allow additional transfer without additional charges. That is what the unlimited plan offers. However if your usage goes beyond a level that is outside of a niche social network you may be required to move into an enterprise solution.
