Sitewide email issues

On Sunday I woke up to a number of people on my site complaining about issues with email.  When anyone sent an email, it took about 20 seconds to go through and then they would get this message:

After doing a few test emails, I also was getting the message, although found that the email did go through, it just gives this error everytime.  I figured I would give it 24 hours to see if it would just work itself out, although it has not as of yet.  I was not around to touch any code for the site and no one else has administrative rights, so I do not believe that anything on our side was done to cause this message.

Since the emails are going through, it is not a huge concern of mine, although it does thrown a bit of confusion around.  Is anyone else having this issue, and if so, is it being worked on.  If not, is there anyway to fix this?

  • I strongly suggest that you send in a Support Request.  Just click on "Support Request" on the far left and explain the same thing you did here including the copy of the message your received above.  Sounds like a bug to me.

  • This is happening to me each time I try to add a member. Same code error.

  • Interesting - I submitted a ticket and it gave me the same code also - and said 'ticket has been added' at the end of it. DEFINITELY a site wide issue.

  • I just submitted a Support Request.  Yes, it is showing the same message here as well.  I made note of this Thread when I submitted the request.  Moreover, I shared the code I received each and everytime I posted in various areas on my own network.  It appears that it may be a platform bug.  If you note any changes, please post them here so we can keep one step ahead.

  • I just received a response from the owners of Spruz a few minutes ago.  Here is their response:

    Support has added the following comment to this ticket on 3/24/2015 6:15:25 PM:

    Thank you for reporting the issue, our staff has looked into the problem and resolved the issue. Please allow 2-4 hours for our changes to take full effect. If you still see a problem related to the issue you reported please update this support request.

  • This issue is something that I experienced as well for a brief moment. I too submitted a support request, and as of this time the issue has been resolved on my end. I will keep this topic active for a period of 48 hours, and if there are no further replies it will be removed by reason of being a "resolved issue". Anyone who is still having this trouble, please comment and let it be known. Thanks to all who reported this :)
