Rich Text box probs

I keep having this problem: I'm added an element - Rich Text box. As I type, the cursor keeps going back to home and the text I typed gets deleted. I keep starting over. It keeps happening. Happened about 10 times before I posted this message. Please advise.

    It sounds like something you might want to put a support ticket in for. 

    What operating system do you have, and/or what type of device are you trying to type from?

    I have encountered a very similar problem whenever I use the 'dash' character '-'

    I try now to remember to use the 'wavy line' character '~'   instead
