Refunding site donations

I'm just curious what would happen if Spruz or my site closed, would there be anyway to refund the site donations? First choice would to have the money go back to the original donators. Second choice would be to send the money to me as the site owner and I can get it back to the donators. But are there any choices at all?

Thanks in advance for any info you may have on the matter!

  • Site donations aren't refundable, and can only be used to pay for services.

  • My buddy just went on the site I created and donated $20 to what he thought was my donation paypal for Game Payware!

I have deleted your Site Fund Link and added my PayPal Donation Button.

Not fair he got caught in your Spider Web..

    It was an (HONEST) mistake.

In the 21st century I hope you will do the right thing here so he doesn't have to go to PayPal for a refund or CC company.

    Thank you,

  • @Rhody, you could request in a support ticket for a refund, but when you add that element to your site, there is a description given, that "in detail", states exactly what the element is used for, and how the funds can be used. I wouldn't call that a spider web exactly, and the responsibility of passing that information to your members resides with you, because it's your site. I can't say I've ever heard of them offering a refund based on those facts, but you can give it a try by submitting a ticket.

  • The donations can only be used for Spruz products. For example, paying your hosting plan, or adding an additional feature to your plan like removing the branding, the member subscription module, etc...
