Some months ago, my sister talked me into bringing back the idea for my Site/Community, and we've been working to build its member base, since. It Is mainly a Social Site, but it holds two purposes; For one, it's for those like her and Myself (i.e., "not quite normal"), those who are either 'forsaken', left behind, or walked away from society of their own accord, for whatever reason they may have, and thus wish to have a pace to begin as calling "home" (yes, I know what you're thinking-- "an Online entity isn't a 'home'". Well, this is only the beginning...); and it's also the start of a Real Community meant to be of help to those who are victims, survivors, or are currently enduring Domestic Violence and Abuse.
"House of The Forsaken" 'fronts' as one manner of Social Site, and means to use that 'front' as a means to protect those who are apart of it. Obviously, as I'm the Founder, I'm also considered the "High Elder" of our Community, and I'm currently devising a way to bring our Community to life, in a way that will make it even more of a Home for those who need it and are willing to seek it.
(Now, keep in mind that I am very protective of those who enter my "domain", since I've been in All their 'shoes', so to speak, and I know what it is to have nowhere to turn. Hence, why I let my sister talk me into bringing my Site/Community back from the virtual 'grave' it was buried in.)
Currently, we're 'recruiting' members who have a knowledge that they would like to share, and people who are looking to learn about those like Us, as everyone in our Site/Community walks a familiar path, and we all do our best to be open minded.
"House of The Forsaken" is via invitation only, so before anyone can just "join in the fun", they need to get to know one of us, first, so that we can know everyone will be equally as open-minded.
Our Community is right now, in the process of growing, and we've developed a slight number of 'followers', as it were, so thus far, it's going well, but we still have allot of work to do with the Site, alone, before it can be made more 'public'.
