What size does a photo need to be shrinked to to fit in the header

Can anyone tell me what size a photo needs to be shrinked to in terms of width and height in order for it to fit into the header? The answer I got from Ticket support is that the photo needs to be shrinked. Obviously.  We wait so long for an answer and this is the response we get. No one in their right mind has the time to spend hours trying to shrink a photo then upload it to see it it fits, then shrink it again and upload and repeat the process over and over again. Would be nice if there was a more professional layout on 'how to' do things with the program we use for our websites.  :-(

  • I did a brief article on this some time ago on my website. It describes the process of figuring out your site header dimensions. Within your management tools, you will find everything you need to determine the dimensions needed, though when first starting out, it may not seem that way. You control the width of your site in the management tools, and your header is also the same width. You also control the height of your header in the management tools. Those are the two dimensions you need, and unfortunately there is no way to tell you those things in definite, because everyones site varies based on the theme they've chosen.

Read this article and you'll gain a better understanding of what needs to be done.
