Since I completely skipped "Gain % of Physical Damage as Extra X Damage" meta so far, I wish to try some new stuff with added as chaos damage in v3.3. Naturally, the plan is to ditch Brutality and use Sin's and Atziri flasks, along with the new Tecati prefix and maybe Ming ring or two.
I still have doubts because every time I tried elemental or chaos damage before (without double dipping), the DPS numbers skyrocketed but the overall feeling didn't improve, especially against bosses. In order to do me some rough math, is there a information on what is the current average mob and map bosses chaos resistance?
Do you have Path of Building? It has boss resistances and will auto adjust the dps calculation if you change the config to boss or shaper.
If you wanna just scale extra damage as chaos, your best bet is to do gain all damage type as extra chaos, not restricted to physical. For example, fully converted glacial cascade with jewels: atziri's promise would apply twice to your base damage, trickster node would apply twice, occultist node would apply twice...
If you want to only do physical to chaos, my guess is it works much better if you end up poisoning and lowering chaos resistance as well. Do that with an assassin or an occultist.
As it is, there is no phys as extra chaos "meta", it's still pretty underwhelming if it's your only way of scaling damage. Especially where brutality has its niche on builds that do not poison nor convert to ele damage, which is what you appear to be doing. The in-game currency is available at the professional online gaming house. The interested gamers can poe orbs buy from those professional online gaming houses in the most affordable cost.
