Create a player is a little different this year, giving gamers Moments to play with existing players, but still letting you craft your own player. You can play all the Moments through the different positions, so don't miss the chance to knock down those quick and easy rookie Moments for MLB Stubs and XP. Putting forth your best lineup should also be a much easier endeavor this year. No longer will users have to guess or assume the defensive liability of a player by placing him in his secondary position, or playing someone out of position entirely.
A new experience, a sort of season mode called March to October, allows you to play only the key bits of your selected team’s journey to the World Series. While many who choose this are looking for the more traditional ‘no-frills’ season experience, the XP gathered while doing so looks to entice them to Diamond Dynasty once completed.
Another way to quickly earn Stubs is to complete as many Collections as you can. You probably won't earn a lot of Stubs by doing these challenges, but if you have duplicate items in your inventory, it may be worth collecting some of your extras. There is technically one way to get Stubs faster than any other in MLB The Show 19 and that is purchasing the with real world money. That is something you can do if you really want, but the rest of this guide will focus on how to earn it quickly within the game.
MLB The Show 19 features the 12th installment of Road to the Show, in which the user creates a player and controls only him throughout a multiseason career. Judging by the development attention it receives and the lack of any shown to Franchise for the second straight year, it’s clear which mode more people play. I have nothing against those who purchase stubs to fast track their process, it’s just that I actually kind of enjoyed finding different ways to hustle the market to essentially get myself infinite stubs.
Head over to the Market and look for the MLB The Show 19 Stubs, equipment, sponsorships, etc. that have a relatively large discrepancy between the Buy Now amount (which will be higher) and Sell Now amount. MLB The Show 19 will now show a player’s defensive ratings at any position you choose as you tinker with your fielding configuration. This should really emphasize the negative impact a player may have by playing his card out of position. In fact, it feels as if XP broad reach is an invitation from all types of players to converse in Diamond Dynasty. It’s a clever design, but whether it entices players to jump into card-collecting is yet to be seen.
