They have freeware that you can download that will convert video from one format to another if you google search "how to convert video from "this format" to that format. You could maybe try that. i've had a few that worked over the years but can't remember the names of them though. From experience, pay attention when downloading and installing them or "any" freeware. They will usually try and push a bunch of other software off on you during the installation process, like tool bars, changing your default search engine, ect... Just keep clicking no on everything except for the actual software you want, and you'll be fine.
