How to add a shopping cart to our store?

Hi everyone, we have just created our community site for muscular dystrophy. We have added a store, but need to know how to add a shopping cart...can someone help please? Also, if anyone is willing we could use some design help, very new to this and a little lost with codes and such.

  • I'm not certain I understand what you mean by shopping cart exactly. The social store lets and/or your members sell items on the site using Paypal as the payment option. There isn't a "cart" feature that exists with the social store though, in the manor of adding multiple items and then checking out to purchase all at once. I hope that helps.

  • Under the tab "your site" it has "manage features", on there it say that we have not added a "shopping cart" to our site; Add it now is lit up.

However, I was testing everything on the site and when I click on "buy now" in our store; it gives me the following message:

And only after clicking on the link contained in the message will it take me to Paypal to complete purchase.

  • Ahhh ok. I see what you mean. When you click on the add it now link, it brings up the list of pages you can add, and you are supposed to add it from the list. The trouble I believe comes because, the shopping cart is not in the list. It's a feature that was I believe replaced by the social store, when it released, and the shopping cart feature is no longer able to be added to the sites.

Regarding the message you are seeing with the store, it's really hard to tell what may be causing that, without being able to see what all is set up on the site itself, so you'll probably want to submit a support ticket, so that someone is able to go in and take a look at what is going on there.
