Downloads Page

With the Downloads Page the $creator_company_name platform provides an easy way for you and your site members to share files for other members to download.

Steps to add the Downloads Page to your site:

  1. Make sure you have a paid plan. The Downloads feature is only available on sites with a paid plan.
  2. At the top of your site click the Manage Site link. This will turn on manage mode giving you a site manage bar at the top of your site.
  3. On the site manage bar click "Your Site" to bring up a menu.
  4. Click "Add Page or Feature" on the menu. This will bring up the New Page dialog box.
  5. On the left of the dialog box, click on Downloads Page. This will show some information about the feature on the right with a button to continue.
  6. Click the continue button on the right of the dialog box.
  7. Click the Create Page button at the bottom of the dialog box. (You can optionally change settings for this page before you create it.)

Downloads Page Options

Once you have added the downloads page to your site you can change the options for this feature by hovering over the main Downloads element on the page and clicking the Feature Settings () button at the top right of the element.

What is the box title? - Here you can type in a new title that is set for the main downloads element on your Downloads Page. By default this is simply set to "Downloads".

Files to display per page? - This allows you to choose how many downloads files are visible at a time when the Downloads Page is viewed. If you have more files than the limit you choose here, additional file will be paged.

Require Login to download files? - You can choose to allow people that are not logged in and members of your site to download files. By default this is set to "Yes" which requires a user be a member and logged in to download any files.

What Member Access level is required to add files? - Choose what members are allowed to add files based on their access level. You can change each members access level from "Your Site" > Manage Members on your site manage bar.
