Does anyone know to add a slideshow carousel?

I'm currently uploading a video to Youtube that details what I'm trying to do, but basically this is something Iv'e wanted to add to my site for years, but have never been able to figure it out. Iv'e posted a coulple of forum posts on it. Iv'e tried turorials and searched Google, but none of them work with Spruz. I'm talking about making a simple slideshow carousel like what you see on Yahoo or Rotten Tomatoes. It would just need to be able to fit right in the middle of my home page above recent videos (themcdougalbugle.com). It could have three sets of four images, white text, and these for the slide buttons:  I can make them smaller or transparent later. Now I am paying, so those custom scripting options work fine with all their advanceness and if there's stuff to post there, I can do that. I know it's a possibility and I know there's some Spruzers who'd be interested in it, but a step-by step walkthrough specific to getting a slideshow carousel on the Spruz platform would be awesome if anyone would want to. I would just need to be able to update it manually with an image, title, and teaser sub-text, whenever I have a new slide, therefor bumping the last one of the carousel. For me, something like the one of Rotten Tomatoes would be perfect. Yeah, I'd follow the steps, we would just need to know which codes to use and where they would need to go and I can customize myself and stuff.

  • Thanks, but there isn't a specific program. It can be done using some special CSS and coding for that element. Then I put HTML in that element that has the titles and descriptions for the linked content and the code elsewhere makes a carousel out of it. Some more examples:

    MassThemes

    Spill.com

    ThatGuyWiththeGlasses.com

  • I guess MassThemes is under construction, but you should get the idea. Sorry it cuts off in the video, but yeah, that's basically it.

  • BlisteredThumbs.net and AngryJoeShow.com also have carousels.

  • anyone the source code for an HTML element and then what to put in the Body HTML in the Content Area. I think those are the two places required. I know it can be done, one of the admins at MassThemes said I could get a carousel because I'm paying for the feature that allows whatever scripting is required. And again, there's isn't a specific program. I just need some help setting it up.
