Category Changes not showing in Blog Entry

When I change the name of a Category or add one, it does not show up on drop down menu.  Am I doing something incorrectly?

    It's hard to say what might be going on without seeing what you are actually doing. Take a view of this video I made awhile back, and see if it helps you out any.
